Green Lake Real Estate Market
Green Lake is defined by the area in between Interstate 5 to the east, 85th Street to the north, Aurora Avenue to the west, and 50th Street at it’s furthest point to the south.
Much of the Green Lake neighborhood is comprised of the actual Green Lake—a large 259-acre fresh water lake that’s a favorite summertime destination for many Seattle locals. Despite its limitations in area however, real estate in Green Lake is actually quite diverse, offering potential home buyers plenty of options that range from condos and cottages to newly developed single-family dwellings with more than enough living space to suit just about any home buyer’s lifestyle needs and wants.
In fact, since around the mid-1990s, Seattle’s Green Lake neighborhood has experienced widespread redevelopment, with many existing homes undergoing extensive renovations, and others even being fully re-designed to include more square footage.
Townhomes can also be found around the Green Lake area as well in case you prefer a maintenance-free option but need a bit more living space than a condo, and given the neighborhood’s close proximity to Interstate 5, residents here can also get to and from downtown Seattle in right around 20 minutes on most days.
