Grand Ridge Plaza Breaks Ground in Issaquah Highlands
Regency Centers, a national owner, operator and developer of grocery-anchored shopping centers, will begin construction of the new Grand Ridge Plaza shopping center within the next few weeks in the Issaquah Highlands. The new shopping center will be a 280,113 square feet center and will be anchored by a new Safeway grocery store. The center will be located on an almost 25 acre plat located at Northeast High Street and Ninth Avenue Northeast in Issaquah, Washington.
Regional Shopping & Entertainment Center
The 280,113 square-foot open air, pedestrian-friendly Grand Ridge Center will include the 44,543 square-foot Safeway and also a 56,820 square-foot, 14-screen Regal Issaquah Highlands Stadium 14 movie theater. The remaining 178,750 square feet of shopping center space will center on retail, restaurants, and other entertainment retailers to make a true regional shopping center that would draw on residents of not only the Issaquah Highlands, but also greater Issaquah, Klahanie and the Sammamish Plateau. Currently, the closest grocery stores to the Issaquah Highlands are the Fred Meyer on E. Lake Sammamish Parkway, and the QFC in Klahanie - so this will be a welcome addition to the Highlands development.
