Allen Lake and wetland is a generally undeveloped area directly north of the Sammamish Vintage neighborhood. The area and surrounding area has been classified as a category one wetland, according the state Department of Ecology. That classification means it's either highly sensitive, rare or has it may have valuable flora and fauna. The category one classification states that there should not be any degradation to the wetland.
This small natural lake and wetland is the home to black bears, geese, bald eagles, deer, and bobcats. The lake is said to have trout, bass and catfish.
The Plateau Club, located on the eastern side of the Sammamish Vintage neighborhood, is a private golf and country club. The club has an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Perry Dye and Masatsugu Saito. The course also has a natural outdoor driving range and practice area. In addition to the golf course, The Plateau Club also has a 37,500 square foot clubhouse that includes golf and pro shop as well as a private restaurant. Also on the club grounds is a competition-sized swimming pool, fitness room, and tennis courts.
